Affiliates launched new brand on Oct. 1

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Little has changed about Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks (BBBSO) since its inception 35 years ago. We still serve vulnerable children in our community, and we, along with hundreds of affiliates across the country, offer one of the most impactful volunteer experiences around.
We also never have enough Bigs to eliminate our wait list — currently at about 130 — and sometimes our prospective Little Brothers wait up two years to be matched.
That is one constant we’d like to change.
As we celebrate and reflect on our 35th anniversary here in the Ozarks, that change is on the horizon. On Oct. 1 BBBSO joined its parent organization and other affiliates to introduce the next evolution in our collective story with a new logo, new color scheme and new priorities.
Looking to the next 35 years, we have hope that our new brand and a new approach will usher in a new era, keeping the same quality service but far fewer wait times, especially for the boys in our region.
