Our events make a BIG impact.

Throughout the entire year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks hosts and assists great events that help support our agency. Our efforts over the past years have created established, popular events in Southwest Missouri, and each year our events continue to grow. We have a wide range of events, varying in many different ways by targeting different groups of people as well as different ages. Below you can find a quick overview of each individual event. Bowl For Kids’ Sake
A family-friendly, nationwide fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowling teams are formed to raise funds for BBBSO and enjoy a couple games of bowling. Participants receive food, soda, and an event T-shirt while also having the chance to win prizes for reaching certain fundraising goals. Read more >

Rock’n Ribs
The Rotary Club of Springfield hosts this barbeque competition each Spring and raises money for local charities. We are glad a part of this event full of good music, good food, and good fun. Learn more >

Battle of the Badges
Watch the Springfield Police Department battle the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at this event. The two forces compete in an annual basketball game to raise funds for BBBSO. Other activities are on site including the “Kids’ Zone.” More details >

Taste of the Ozarks
Looking for an event where you can sample food from the top restaurants in Springfield, listen to live music, and leave with some fantastic auction items or prizes? Taste of the Ozarks is for you. Read on >

Price Cutter Charity Championship
This is an annual Nationwide Tour golf tournament that raises thousands of dollars for local children’s charities. The tournament draws a huge crowd at Highland Springs Country Club and thousands of children in need are helped because of this event. Through the years, the PCCC has raised over $7,000,000 for children in the Ozarks. More information >

Outdoor Fitness Festival
Bass Pro Shops hosts the Outdoor Fitness Festival each year to encourage health and wellness in the Ozarks. In the Fall, various fitness events are held over the span of a few weeks including bike rides, trail runs, and a marathon. BBBSO receives part of the proceeds from the events. Read more > 

Ozarks Beerfest
This is laid back event where guests are welcome to sample many different beers and brews from all over the U.S. Guests are also able to enjoy food from local restaurants and music. Hundreds of items from all distributors are available to purchase at Beer Lover’s Lane or you can take a shot at winning one of many great prizes at Plinko. Learn more >

Santa Calls
Each year, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the Ozarks to make phone calls to good little boys and girls on the Nice List. Mr. and Mrs. Claus love their annual visit that helps spread holiday cheer. More details >

*All of our events require volunteers to make them a success. We appreciate those who give their time to BBBSO. Each and every volunteer helps start something big in a child’s life.
